Sariska Tiger
- Sariska Tiger Reserve is just 30 KM’s from “Sagar Resort”.
- Surrounded by majestic Aravalli ranges and offering an exotic collection of places to visit in Sariska, this gorgeous destination is surely an ethereal retreat to the senses. Sariska is one of the most popular attractions in Alwar and offers an exhilarating getaway from the concrete jungle. Moosi Maharani
- 6.5Km From Sagar Resort.
- This is an impressive cenotaph (chhatri) on the banks of Sagar, a beautiful pond. The cenotaph reflects the unique style of architecture. The upper portion of the cenotaph is in marble and has columned pavilions and domed arches with exquisite floral tracery, and rests on the pillared red sandstone lower story. Mythological and court scenes in gold–leaf paintings and sculptures adorn the ceiling. An artificial lake SAGAR is situated nearby, it has distinct patterns of stairs and towers in perfect symmetry.
Bala Quila
- 11.9 Km From Sagar Resort.
- This gigantic fort has stood still at an elevation of 1000 feet since 1550.
- Bala Fort or Bala Quila is the grandest creation of Hasan Khan Mewati and has gone through the hands of various dynasties.
- The fort offers a panoramic and spectacular view of Alwar and is considered the oldest building of Alwar.
- The fort also comes within the buffer zone of Sariska and like Sariska has an option of safari with sightings of tigers.
Siliserh lake
- Siliserh lake is just 8.5 Km away from “SAGAR RESORT”.
- Siliserh Lake covers an area of about 10.5 Square Km and is enclosed by thickly wooded hills with beautiful chhatris on its bank.
- This lake is also home to many aquatic life like crocodiles & fishes and water birds can also be spotted around the lake.
- On the top of the lake Siliserh Lake Palace is situated which was founded in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh for his Queen Shila.
- Backyard waters of “SILISEDH” lake is full of crocodiles, which can be easily viewable at back side banks of the lake.
Artificial Man made Lake
- Artificial man made lake constructed in the year 1910, by Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar, to store rain water gushes from Ruparel river.
- The Jaisamand Lake is an artificial lake near Alwar in Rajasthan that has been built to store water from the overflow of the Ruparel river and to use the water during the parched summer months.
- The lake is about six km from Alwar on the way to Silserh Lake and Sariska Tiger Reserve. There is a minor village road leading to this place.

Moti Dungri
- The Moti Dungri Palace is in ruins on the Moti Dungri Hill where the shrine lies. The palace built by Maharaja Mangal Singh in 1882, used to be the residence of the royal family of Alwar. Within the palace, a Laxminarayan Temple and a Ganesh Temple are open to the public.
- Moti Dungri, Alwar is a unique holy shrine where Hindus and Muslims pray together. Sankat Mochan Vir Hanuman Mandir and Sayyed Darbar are in the same complex without a wall in between. On Thursdays, the loudspeakers play Bhajans in the morning and Qawwali in the evening. The mix of fragrances of camphor, ghee, and lobaan are infused together. The flags of Saffron and Green and a Tricolor, are unfurled together. The aura of the place is truly magical!
Neelkanth Mahadev

- Situated in deep forest range inside Sariska Tiger Reserve.
- Neelkanth Shiv Mandir & Monolithic Jain Teerthankar Statue is a classical example of century old northern architecture.

Hope Circus

- Hope Circus was one of the creative structures of the year 1940.
- This structure is circular in shape with stairs to climb from all four directions.
- Lord Shiva temple is constructed on the top of the Hope Circus.

Bhangarh
- 90 Km From Sagar Resort.
- The fort of Bhangarh is located 86 Kilometers from Sagar Resort. The fort was constructed in the 17th century by Raja Madho Singh, the Younger brother of the great Mugal general, Man Singh of Amber.
- Bhangarh Fort is considered to be the most haunted place in India and is said to be cursed and there are several legends associated with the curse of Bhangarh.
Pandupole Bajrang Bali Mandir
- Pandupole Bajrang Bali Mandir is a famous spot in the heart of Sariska Tiger Reserve.
- The road commencing from the Sanctury gate ends at this temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Here, is also the delightful Pandupol or Pandu gate where a cascading spring emerges from hand and compact rocks. A legend has it that the Pandava brothers took refuge here during their exile. Entry to the temple is allowed only on Tuesday – Saturday and full moon day after paying forest entry charges. Fair is organized at Hanuman temple at Pandupol in August – September.

Bharatihari Mandir
- 29 Km From Sagar Resort
- This is a throbbing pilgrimage centre which revolves around the legend of King Bhartrihari who spent the many years of his life in this ancient place amidst hills. The samadhi of Shri Bhartrihari ji was built by his disciples and devotees. They made this place a permanent memory of the great sage Bhartrihari ji. A small rivulet of clean water flows by and people worship the entombment of Bhartrihari ji. Here an incessantly burning lamp is cautiously guarded and it has been burning for centuries. In the month of Bhadrapad (August-September), millions of people go to the samadhi.
Tijara Jain Mandir
- Tijara Jain Mandir main deity was found in 1956, statue of deity is 15 inches tall of Chandra Prabhu in padmasan mudra.

- Tijara Jain Mandir is rectangular in shape.
- Popular mythological stories depicting in paint, along with intricate glass work decorates the Mandir interiors.
Government Museum
- Rare manuscripts,inclusing one explaining emperor Babur’s life is on display in Government Museum of Alwar.
- It has perhaps the finest collections of Rajput and Mughal paintings in the 18th and 19th centuries and some ancient and rare manuscripts in Persian, Arabic, Urdu, and Sanskrit. Some of the important manuscripts preserved here are – ‘Gulistan’ (The Garden of roses), ‘Waqiate Babari (autobiography of the Mughal emperor, Babar)’ and ‘Bostan (poems)’. There is also a copy of ‘Mahabharata’, the great Indian epic, painted by the artists of the Alwar School of painting.

Garwaji Waterfall
- 18 Km From Sagar Resort.
- Set amidst the jungle in the lap of the Aravalli Canal, Garbhaji Falls boasts of untouched natural beauty and pristine serenity. The mesmerizing cascade of sparkling water falling through a rough terrain beneath several rocky boulders in a glade is a sight beyond description and speaks for itself. Garbhaji Falls makes for a perfect romantic getaway and an ideal spot for family picnics for people to unwind and rejuvenate.
- The waterfalls are located at a height and can be reached by climbing a flight of stairs. The spot is used by the army for altitude training owing to the cliffs and the rocky terrain. It is, therefore, also a popular spot among adventure seekers, trekkers, and hiking enthusiasts.
Naldeshwar Mahadev
- Required tracking of 5 km to reach Lord Shiva’s Mandir from the main road. The atmosphere near the Mandir area is very peaceful & calm.
- The shrines here are dedicated to Lord Shiva, and a smaller shiva-linga has been in this area for a few centuries. During the 18th century, the temple was built to protect this long-lasting shiva-linga, which the name was derived from. This is well protected by the forest and the mountain that surrounds it, which makes it a trek that is worth doing at least once in your life.

Raja Bhartrihari Panorama
- 11.7 Km From Sagar Resort.
- Raja Bharthrihari ji was the ruler of the Malwa region and later in his life left his kingdom in search of spirituality. He traveled extensively around the forests of Alwar-Viratnagar. The interesting story of the royalty doing penance as a disciple of Guru Gorakh Nath and then settling in the public mind comes to life in this panorama. Panorama Bhawan is itself an attractive architectural building.
- A visit to Alwar cannot be completed without seeing this panorama. Entry timing: 10.00 am to 05.00 pm, Ticket: 10 Rs for Adults and 5 Rs for Children
Purjan Vihar
- 6.5 Km From Sagar Resort.
- One has Maharaja Sheodan Singh to thank for this attractive garden that was conceptualized and constructed in 1868. A picturesque place, locally known as Simla (the Summer House) was added to this garden to provide respite from the blazing sun.
